TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Academic Text Editing and Correction Service (“ATECS - Text Editing”) owns this website (the “Site”).

By using the Site you (the “User”) accept the following terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”). ATECS - Text Editing may, at its sole discretion, modify or revise the Terms and Conditions at any time by updating the text of this page. ATECS - Text Editing may at any time terminate or suspend the User’s access to the Site.

1. We will make the necessary improvements to the English of your document, but we are not responsible for the accuracy of its content or formatting, including the presentation of references.
2. If you make changes to a document which you had previously submitted to us, this will count as a new submission.
3. We will edit and correct your document in good faith and assume that it is your own original work. You retain the copyright of your edited document.
4. We have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure that your document is transmitted to a secure website and, once it has reached us, we will maintain the confidentiality of your work. We cannot be held responsible for breach of security beyond our control, while your document is being transmitted electronically.
5. It is your responsibility to read the edited text to ensure that it reflects the meaning of your original text. Any queries about the editing changes or corrections we make to the text must be sent to us within 14 days of our returning the edited version to you. Your document will be deleted from our system 14 days after the edited version has been sent to you.
6. All work must be paid for in advance. We will do our best to return the edited document within the time shown in our estimate. The time will count from the first full working day after we have received confirmation from WorldPay that your credit card payment has been processed or after your bank transfer has been credited to our bank account.
7. We will address your queries promptly and consider any issues that you have in relation to the service that we provide to you. Refunds, however, will only be given at the discretion of our management. No refunds will be made after a period of 14 days from our returning the edited version of the text to you. 8. The Site, including (but not limited to), artwork, data, frames, graphics, illustrations, logos, names, pages, photographs, service marks, software, sound, source codes, text, trade marks, and other material (the “Content”) is protected by copyright and/or other proprietary rights (the “Intellectual Property Rights”). The Intellectual Property Rights in the Content remain with ATECS - Text Editing or, where the material forming the Content has been licensed to ATECS - Text Editing, with the rights owners of such material. The Content may not be copied in whole or in part without the express written authority of ATECS - Text Editing. The User must abide by all additional copyright notices or restrictions contained in the Site.
9. ATECS - Text Editing accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever with regard to the Content. The Content:
   

   	-	is for general information only and does not constitute any form of advice or recommendation upon which a specific decision should be made;
   	-	is not necessarily comprehensive, complete, accurate or up to date;
   	-	may be linked to external sites over which ATECS - Text Editing has no control.

10. The Law of Scotland will apply to these Terms and Conditions.
