ATECS - Text Editing consists of a team of highly experienced academics based in Scotland. Each team member has over 20 years' experience of university research and teaching. We have published in leading peer-reviewed journals and given numerous presentations at international conferences.

We edit texts primarily in the fields of arts, humanities and social sciences. We may also be able to undertake work on papers in other academic areas.

We send you two copies of your edited text.  One copy shows our changes to your text highlighted, to make it easier for you to compare our changes with your original text.

Journal Articles, Research Proposals, Dissertations and Theses

Before submitting your work, send your document to us.  We will check it for grammar and style, and improve the clarity of expression where necessary.

Conference Papers

We can help you at all the stages of your conference participation:

• Abstract
• Oral Presentation (including text for computer projection)
• Poster
• Contribution to Proceedings

Let us check the English in your abstract before you send it in to the conference organizers.  We will normally return it to you checked within 48 hours after receiving payment.

We can make the English of your conference presentation clearer and more appropriate for speech.

We will check your poster or written contribution to the conference proceedings for language accuracy and style.
